Medical Photography: Indulging your budding medic

If your son
or daughter is a budding medic, with a passion for all things
healthcare-related, then there's no harm in actively indulging their interest.
Although it may be just another phase (let's face it, children have a lot of
them!) you can't lose anything by helping them to learn more about medicine and
the many job opportunities it offers. Although you may find that once you
get into it, the blood and guts puts them off, at least they can't accuse you
of not being supportive in years to come!
So how
exactly can you help your little doctor-to-be learn more about medicine?
Good
old fashioned books and photography
So many children are glued to the television these days that it wouldn't be such a bad idea to buy them a couple of good old-fashioned medical books; some titles they can really get their teeth into. Hunt down some medical photography websites too, which will show them what they'll have to face if they choose medicine as their career path. These may either shock them into opting for another career, or provide them with invaluable knowledge.

Hearing the truth from someone in the role could give them the information they need to decide if they want to stick with it.
