>> Tuesday, May 3, 2011
Most parents face the problem in making their child eat healthy diet. Kids often avoid healthy foods that provide them the essential nutrients that helps in proper mental and physical development. It is important to take special care of kid’s food habit be it in a creche or at home. Many organisations involved in child care in Kildare have Health Board approved kitchens to provide nutritious and healthy food to the children.
Meal Plan for Kids
Every kid should have a healthy breakfast rich in fibres. The daily meal should have two serving of food with high protein content. Four–to–six year old child should have 24 grams of protein per day and a child between seven to ten years should have 28grams of protein in their diet.
Along with these also include 3-4 serving of calcium rich food. Every child requires 10mg of iron each day. Poultry, lean meats, fish, dried beans and whole grain in the diet can be a great source of iron. Also make them eat lots of vegetables and fruits as they are good source of vitamin. Proper nutrition can also improve the immunity system of the child.
